Additional Resources for Burst: World Religions

Burst: World Religions

Burst: World Religions is a 5-week program for youth groups that will help Christian teens better understand the religious beliefs and traditions of their Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, and Muslim friends, peers and neighbors; be aware of common misconceptions about each of these faith traditions; and gain a richer appreciation and deeper understanding of their own Christian faith.

Here you will find an assortment of supplemental resources for each session in Burst: World Religions, including links to relevant websites and printable handouts. These are organized by session with some notes on how each link or resource relates to that session.

Introduction

Around the World
The "Around the World" Activity on page 9 suggests posting a blank map of the world on your meeting space or handing out copies of world maps to each participant. Outline maps for educational purposes are available at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Education Place.

Movie Night
The "Movie Night" activity on page 9 suggests watching the film Baraka. You can find additional information on this movie at the Internet Movie Database.
